Welcome back ex-DESC students Shahzain Hashmi and Danish Karmally

How things have changed since your graduation in 2013.

We love welcoming back #DESCalumni!

Shahzain Hashmi and Danish Karmally graduated from DESC in 2013. Shahzain currently works in the US for Amazon as an Application Analyst and Danish works in Canada as an Energy Analyst.

In a trip down memory lane, a decade after they left, Shahzain and Danish took a tour around DESC with Mr Cotgrove, meeting some of their old teachers and members of staff. Everyone reminisced with great stories to share, and the visit brought back some wonderful memories.

Both recalled that when they left, there was no Desert Garden nor dedicated Sixth Form building and that there were 65 students in their Year Group! Shahzain and Danish were really pleased to see that we support students who want to apply to the US to continue their education, as they did.

One thing they felt that had remained exactly the same is how polite and well-mannered the students were on their visit. They were blown away by the facilities and the breadth of subjects that we now offer at DESC, as well as all the enhancements in the last 10 years.

We would encourage any of our alumni to reach out via our DESSCconnect community at alumni.dessc.sch.ae

We would love to welcome you back and show you around DESC!
